NC Friends of State Parks is dedicated to enhancing and preserving North Carolina’s State Parks through strategic initiatives and financial support. By funding educational programs, park improvements, and conservation efforts, we help ensure these cherished spaces continue to thrive for all to enjoy.

Youth in Parks - Environmental Education (YIP-EE)
YIP-EE grants are awarded with the mission of focusing attention on getting students outside the classroom and into North Carolina State Parks. This grant opportunity is available to North Carolina Public Schools in order to aid in the cost for traveling to and from a North Carolina State Park.

Schools in Parks Collaborative
Schools in Parks is a state-wide initiative of North Carolina State Parks to ensure that every public-school student in the state has a meaningful learning experience in a state park by the time of graduation.

Friends Fund Grant Program
Friends of State Parks is pleased to offer a funding opportunity for State Parks and State Parks Friends Groups. Requests for the Friends of State Parks Friends Fund are processed by the FSP Grants Committee and decided upon by the Board of Directors at their quarterly meetings. Grants may be requested for individual state parks, or other state natural areas managed by the NC Division of Parks and Recreation.
